His powers of magnetism still powerful, but his mastery of them broken, Magneto fights to protect new mutants from a world that hates and fears them. With control of his powers weakened, he uses the foresight and scheming developed in his years of villainy to defend mutant rights, though his checkered past makes it difficult for his companions to trust him.
POWER COST 6 Magneto forms a mass of shrapnel to hurl at his enemies. Converts a random Blue tile into a 1-turn Countdown tile that destroys the 8 surrounding tiles. Does not generate AP.
Level Upgrades: Level 2: Increases tiles destroyed to 12, +1 AP Cost. Level 3: Increases tiles destroyed to 20, +1 to countdown timer, +2 AP Cost. Level 4: Increases tiles destroyed to 28, +1 to countdown timer. Level 5: Increase area of effect to entire board, +1 to Countdown timer, +4 AP Cost.
Note: At max character level, the expected average damage due to tile destruction at power level 5 is 1893.
POWER COST 9 Magneto uses the sheer force of magnetism to reconfigure the battlefield. Changes 1 selected basic color tile to Blue, and creates 3 Red tiles.
Level Upgrades: Level 2: Changes 2 selected tiles to Blue. Level 3: Creates 4 Red tiles. Level 4: Changes 3 selected tiles to Blue and creates 3 Red tiles. Level 5: Creates 5 Red tiles.
Note: Blue tiles are never converted to red. They cannot be selected to turn to blue, either.
POWER COST 11 Magneto creates an unstable magnetic field. Turns a random basic Red tile into a 3-turn Countdown tile that deals 347 damage to the current target.
Level Upgrades: Level 2: Reduces countdown to 2, +1 AP cost, Deals 361 damage. Level 3: Destroy a 3x3 block around the Countdown tile. +2 AP cost, Deals 378 damage. Level 4: Reduces countdown to 1, Deals 396 damage. Level 5: Destroy a 5x5 block, +3 AP cost, Deals 413 damage.
At Max Level: Level 3: Deals 1954 damage. Level 4: Deals 2042 damage. Level 5: Deals 2131 damage.
At Champion Max Level: Level 3: Deals 2489 damage. Level 4: Deals 2707 damage. Level 5: Deals 2825 damage.
Note: Assuming random placement, a 3x3 area of effect will destroy 7.56 tiles on average, while a 5x5 area of effect will destroy 18.1 tiles on average.
