Hero Points, is a type of premium currency in Marvel: Puzzle Quest. It is used to purchase comics from the store or from the character train powers screen and to expand one comic collection.

Acquisition

Hero Points can be acquired from:

Progression Rewards in various events.
Higher Placement Rewards in events.
Mission Rewards.
Daily Rewards.

Buying Extra Covers

If the character isn't Epic rarity, and you have at least one cover for the specific power, you can purchase additional covers with Hero Points.

The price depends on the rarity of the Character:

Uncommon	500 Hero Points
Rare	1250 Hero Points
Legendary	2500 Hero Points

Buying Roster Slots

One of the primary uses for Hero Points is buying roster slots which allow you to keep additional covers. The first few are sold as single slots, then they are sold as packs, then singles again.

There is currently a maximum of 200 roster slots.
