In addition to character abilities, you can select up to three boosts to enhance your team. Boosts are acquired as rewards for completing battles. Once a particular boost has been discovered, additional quantities can be purchased in-game using Iso-8/Hero Points.

Boosts are grouped into the following categories:

  • Stockpile: Increases the Ability Point (AP) tile count of specific tile colors by a set amount.
Note: This boost type only increases the AP count at the beginning of each battle and is not continuous.
  • Power Boost: Increases the damage dealt by specific tile colors for the duration of the battle.

Damage increases gained by boosts can be combined to greatly enhance damage dealt to a particular enemy or group of enemy characters.

Example:

Note: There is a +/- 1% variance in calculating stacked boost damage due to rounding by the current game algorithms.

Boost inventory is capped at 30 of each type of boost.

There are currently 12 available boosts in Marvel Puzzle Quest(9 to all events and 3 for special events only):

Stockpile:

  • Can be stacked 3 times

PVE Events Only Target Lock:

  • Can be stacked 3 times

Power Boost:

  • Can be stacked 5 times
